ADOPT A RESCUE DOG - OUR NEW ADOPTION WEBSITE

Rather than having potential adopters scrolling through long lists of furry angels available for adoption, we decided to build and launch an adoption site.

This we hope will make the process of choosing your special new family member even easier.

The website address is www.adoptarescuedog.co.uk

Griuta 3 year old female, loyal obedient and so much needs her own safe forever home

Griuta is a smart girl who insisted to be noticed and give her a hug. Each day she was waiting for me near my house, followed me to the dogs I took care in the neighbourhood, waiting for me in front of the fence whatever it takes to feed and play with them. Then my loyal friend, followed me home.

Being so determined to be in my care, one day I invited her in the yard where I have 4 dogs and since then we are together. Griuta is about 3 years old, very playful but obedient and she is getting along with other dogs. She is so loyal and full of love!!!!

Female, around 53 cm height, 3 years old
vaccinated, dewormed, neutered

Griuta evaluation:
- obedient, playful and a quick learner
- she is very loving
- without major behaviour problems
- she is very scared about the fireworks, the adopter has to be very carefull with noises, she can run away in a second if she hears strong noises.
- she is barking in her own yard, she is protective with the familly and suspicious with the strangers, so she needs an owner with authority
- we are working regarding walking on a leash, she doesn't like to have a collar
- she also needs a diet and very long walks because she is fatter than a normal dog
- she is getting well with other dogs, being very playful and ready to run all the time, she preferes males
- she is running after the cats, so our advice is to be tested first in case the familly has a cat inside

If you could open your heart to this wonderful furry princess please contact  Claudia Dumitru

The two snow doggy families, now safe but need forever homes.

Do you remember the photos of these poor souls freezing  in -20 temperatures? : 2 mums and their 9 puppies living in the snow, in the middle of nowhere....in an empty field...

No chance of survivng, no food, no shelter, too much snow and cold, but it happened a miracle when a nice lady found them and offer them a second chance.

Now the 9 puppies and their mums are safe, they have shelters and a secure place to live till adoption.
Gia and Action Aid for Animals have promised to help them have a future all animals deserve.

Please help us to keep our promise. Adopt and save their lives!

Here are the entire familes, please dont let this miracle be in vain, please offer them a home.

 The entire familly:

Skinny: one of the mums, very scared of humans, but sensitive, with a lot of love to give when she gets to know you, so she needs time for adjustement

Zora is 6 months old, highly affectionate and loving

Anneka is her Foster Mummy here in the UK, this is what she has to say about Little Zora -

She follows me around all day and snuggles into my arms. She is almost 100% house trained and has not messed since arriving. She goes to the toilet in the garden and stays clean in a crate overnight. She learned to sit today and is highly responsive. I am training her to give paw and 'come' right now.

When let off the lead she runs like a staffy - very energetic and happy to be here. She will return on command after training, as her character suggests that she is going to be very very responsive. Very intelligent. She is medium sized, about 12k. Looks like a mix of shepherd, terrier and some other things.....a typical moggy dog :o)) She snuggles close and is very good in the house. She is currently being fostered with me 35 miles from London in rural East Sussex. I am looking for a forever home for her. She requires an owner to be with her most of the time due to her clingy nature. She could also do with some other dogs, as she craves company.

Contact Romania Animal Aid if you could offer this little one a safe and loving forever home.

Fefe - 18 months old, found batterd and badly bitten when only very young, now needs you to show her the world isn't just about pain and hate.

Fefe's story starts somewhere near Bucharest....she was  very young, had been bitten and she so scared and hungry when we found her! She had some problems trusting people, in the sense that when you went to her, she would make herself small small to the ground, hoping she would not be seen
Now Fefe is better and better everyday, she trusts people again. She is very loving and playful :); a little bit shy at first, then full of joy and energy.
She's about 18 months old (one year and a half), she's female, neutered, 50 cm height

In Memory of Rob, little puppy we were hoping someone would adopt, to enable him to get off the streets...Today he was poisoned, today he died.

Today Rob, one of the three musketeers that we were looking for a forever home for was poisoned. He died today, yesterday he was fine, today he is gone. All because of the sick mentality of too many in Romania. He leaves behind two sisters who need forever homes and Alex his loving carer who was there to hold him in her arms when this sweet angel died.

The situation in Romania is real, the torture and abuse in Romania is real, the need for adopters as soon as possible is real. Please....please don't let this happen to others that you can save just by opening your heart and home to a rescued or street Rommie...

We cannot ask you urgently enough to look through the dogs that need adoption. Unlike the dogs in the shelters in the UK or elsewhere that need homes, these guys face, abuse, torture and death every single day they remain in Romania...

Please, please think about adopting .....

FINCH (AKA IQ)

FINCH (AKA IQ)

Finch: Male puppy, 4.5 months old; 10 kilos on September 19th 2011; black, grey, brown and white

Meet the world's smartest puppy!!! Really.

He is a stray-born male pup of about 5 months of age. He is beyond smart- he can get himself out of enclosures, literally climbing them as you see brilliant canine escape artists. Furthermore, he even climbs ladders and gets high up! He also tickles a lot, he's really funny when you pet his belly.

Finch with his mom Ellie. His mom is small, so you can tell he won't grow too big either

Finch with his brother Atticus (together, named after Atticus Finch, one of my favourite movie characters ever)
Finch loves the musketeers and comes to eat and play with them. He also has a funny, curly tail as you can see.

Update on September 22nd 2011:

ALBUSH (AKA WHITEY)

ALBUSH (AKA WHITEY)

Albush- Male, 3 years old, neutered, 20 kilos on September 19th 2011; all white

Albush (meaning 'egg white' in Romanian) is a very friendly, calm dog from my neighborhood. Very, very affectionate. I have had him neutered last summer by Vier Pftoen.

Last summer, Albush was hit by a car and sustained a broken front leg. This is him last year. PS: He is cat friendly, living, eating and sleeping next to cats in his neighborhood.

Albush is super affectionate and wants to be loved and petted. He has the habit of pawing at me, when I am surrounded by strays and I am trying to pet everyone. PS: This is him last year- you can see his right front leg being broken in this pic. It healed in the meantime, phew.

 Albush now, summer/autumn 2011:

 Super affectionate as always

Update on September 22nd, 2011:

Playing with me and other dogs

Playing with other dogs- he loves that

 Very low key and affectionate

Giving me his paw- he always does that
